Empowering Students for the Future : ITM College of Technologys Strategic Approach to Industry-Relevant Education and Global Employability

ITM college of Technology came into existence in the year 2022 and at the time of its inception the Management of the college decided to start the college with professional courses which was driven by several key factors, including:

• Industry demand and employability for addressing the growing need for skilled professionals as per the need of the market

• Technological advancements so that the students could be equipped with relevant skills

• Higher education trends by aligning with the shift towards career-oriented education

• Economic growth and development for supporting the societal, regional and national development by producing trained professionals

• Enhancement of the college reputation by offering in demand courses

• Digital transformation and IT Boom specially with globalization and outsourcing trends

During the span of twenty years the college tried to place the students through its own placement team but keeping in view the recent market trends and demands it has been decided to collaborate with tech companies to provide industry internships, live projects and certifications so that our students could be highly competitive in the job market.

In the data-driven analytics age, it is imperative to include industry relevant courses, with a long focus on application, in academic curriculum to improve the employability quotient of students. ITM has recently entered into an exclusive partnership with TCSiON which is meant for Leading change, integrity, respect for individual excellence as well as learning and sharing. It will transform learning and make it more experiential, inclusive, outcome-oriented and a joyous experience for every student of this college. TCS iON industry Honour course is an area of specialization which aims at building industry relevant specialized skills through a series of courses structured as a learning path delivered over academic semesters enabling learners to become experienced freshers. As per the TCS iON agreement, immersive and experiential learning program construct has been stitched in such a manner that both digital and physical pedagogical components provide learners the flexibility based on their interest, availability of time and aspirations. The curriculum will be Co-curated with inputs from both academia and industry. The delivery model is flexible (study anywhere, anytime) and LTP (Lecture-Tutorial-Practical). Students will also gain hands-on experience and build applied skills to improve employability.

The MOU with TCSD iON has enabled integration of AICTE/UGC aligned industry designed courses from a learning path in industry-relevant domain with existing degreeprograms of the affiliating university and create a specialization branch. It will make our students visible to a large number of corporates for better internships and job opportunities. The students will get assured internships and extensive job exposure through NQT (National Qualifier Test), wherein the company has placed more than 1.6 lakh students across 23 industry sectors (around 4200 companies ) with salary packages as high as 19 lakhs and NPT (National Proficiency Test).
