The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. The NSS aims to develop the personality and character of students through voluntary community service. It was launched in 1969, during the birth centenary year of Mahatma Gandhi, to instill the idea of social welfare in students and to provide service to society without bias.
The NSS Unit at the Institute of Technology & Management, Dehradun, is a vibrant and active body dedicated to promoting social consciousness among students. Our NSS Wing engages students in various community service activities, fostering a spirit of volunteerism and social responsibility. Over the years, we have organized numerous camps and activities, including a one-week camp and several day long camps in the nearby communities, focusing on a wide range of issues such as health, education, sanitation, and environmental sustainability.
