It’s the beginning of the end of a second decade of ITM and I can say it with proud that by the blessings of the Almighty God and persistent devotion and dedication of the Founder Chairman Mr. Nishant Thapliyal, the Institute of Technology and Management, popularly acronym as ITM which ushered in the education arena in the year 2002 with just “13 students” on board, has crossed the height of “13 professional courses” with a strength of over 1300 students, in the academic year 2019-20 , all affiliated to the prestigious Central and State Universities of Uttarkhand. More than 6K talents have grown from ITM and are now thriving in high technical positions in the IT and Management Industries or they are themselves a business entrepreneur.

While the Institute is growing exponentially, it becomes obligatory on the part of the Management of ITM also to introspect and retrospect itself and bring a prospective growth within the management of ITM also.

In view of the above and one step further, ITM has gone into complete automation, bringing in corporate culture commensurate with the current needs of the education industry by uploading the entire study material/ training process/projects and methodology of all the sessions/ all students and all faculties thus, enabling the students, faculty, HR and corporate training and management in turn in an altar of union and transparency with the vision and mission of the instititution.

Existing HR policy has also been revamped with a regular HR and TPO in place under the active supervision of the undersigned and the Director, who has been upgraded from the post of Principal to assist the management in DMP.

The Director (Academic) has been upgraded to the post of Principal, with additional responsibilities to monitor, in the chain.

It would be worthwhile mentioning that there has been an upsurge in the number of Departments at ITM in 2019, with introduction of the Department of Hotel Management(BHM/DHM) in the Hospitality Sector; Department of Mass Communication (BA (Hons) in the Journalism sector and Department of Commerce (B.Com (H.) and B.Com (CA) in addition to the already running Departments of Information Technology (BCA, B.Sc IT and M.Sc IT), Management (BBA) , Animation and Multimedia (B.Sc Animation, Degrees and Diplomas) and Library Sciences (B.Lib.I.Sc and M.Lib Isc ).

As a testimony and reward to our dedication, commitment and vision of our services, the Uttarkhand Open University (UOU) , has considered giving ITM a special status of a “Study Center of Uttarakhand Open University” for few more courses, in addition to the set of above mentioned programs , viz. , MBA, MCA, M.Sc (GIS), M.Sc (Cyber Security) and all other Arts programs at UG levels under BA Faculty .
